THE OFFSPRING return with a new studio album DAYS GO BY, produced by Bob Rock and available June 26 (Columbia Records).
Singer and guitarist Dexter Holland talks about the album DAYS GO BY: “I don’t know why but I felt sort of serious writing this record and when I finished I felt I needed to have a few playful songs too. Kind of both sides of the Offspring. Either way I think these songs are all going to be a lot of fun to play live.”
The band is also set for a special 20th Anniversary performance of their Epitaph debut album Ignition at Alex’s Bar in Long Beach, CA May 3. THE OFFSPRING will continue to tour worldwide through 2012.
THE OFFSPRING’S last album, 2008′s Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace, featured the alternative and rock radio staples “Hammerhead” and “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid.” Also among the band’s best-known hits are the rock anthems “Self Esteem,” “Come Out And Play (Keep ‘Em Separated)” and “The Kids Aren’t Alright.” The Huntington Beach, CA-based band has performed over 1100 shows across the globe and sold more than 36 million albums worldwide. Their 1994 release Smash remains the highest-selling album of all-time on an independent label.
THE OFFSPRING are Dexter Holland (vocals, guitar), Noodles (guitar), Greg K (bass) and Pete Parada (drums).
