The DECEMBER STREETS sign to 2 FEET MUSIC

2 Feet Music is very proud to announce the signing of the December Streets. The band had an incredible 2011, shooting to the top of the national radio charts with 2 of their singles and sharing the stage with some of SA’s best. 2012 promises to hold even more for them!

They’ve already had commercial radio success with their hit singles “My Name” and “Fire Through The Window” and January 2012 sees them release their next single, “Got That Feeling”.

When asked to describe the new single “Got That Feeling”, front man Tristan Coetzee replies: “The nostalgic, exciting, yet mixed feelings which arise in the adventure of chasing what you can’t have”

December Streets, have been caressing the ears of many since 2009. Only in 2010 when Tristan Coetzee (vocals and guitar) and Gideon Meyer (bass and sax) – boasting a 7 year musical camaraderie – united with Nico van Loggerenberg (lead guitar), Corneil Clasen (drums) and Waldo Boshoff (trumpet), did the December Streets really progress to what you know them to be today.

Together, the guys in the band are bringing a fresh musical flavour to the SA scene. ‘Who Needs Shoes’ was their first campus hit, which reached the number one position on TuksFM’s Most Wanted and SA Top 10 charts and commercial hits ‘Fire through the Window’ and ‘My Name’ both charted on the 5FM Top 40.

The band is set to go back into the studio in April to record the rest of the songs for their debut album, which is due for release in June 2012.
