Sheer Sound’s imprint rock label, Seed, and their singer/songwriter division, 2 Feet, are merging to become one powerhouse local division for Sheer Sound
The goal of 2 Feet Music has always been to expose a select range of extremely talented artists, such as Farryl Purkiss and Nibs van der Spuy, to the globe, where as Seed Music was created to give emerging South African Rock Bands a platform to release and distribute their albums locally. Seed Music soon developed to become home to some of SA’s most successful Rock Bands such as The Dirty Skirts, Boo!, Taxi Violence, The Graeme Watkins Project and Plush, to name a few, and was no longer seen as a development label for up-and-coming bands .
Some Seed artists are now part of the 2Feet goal to be exposed globally and thus the lines between the 2 labels have become blurred. 2 Feet Music will be the label hosting both the 2 Feet and Seed Music releases and the exciting new journey begins as we create platforms to promote our local talent globally.
