Internationally renowned, guitarist, singer, songwriter Nibs van der Spuy has been touring the world with his brand of insightful acoustic guitar mastery and poignant lyrics over the last 4 years.He has been citedas a fresh voice in the ‘Nu folk’ movement. With his virtuosic acoustic guitar style and mesmeric voice he has enchanted listeners from small intimate theatres to large festival stages. With the release of his latest offering, ‘A House across the River’, France’s leading newspaper ‘Liberation’, wrote a full page article on Nibs and backing South Africa, Keith Tamkei from the Sunday Times, praised it with a rare 5 stars.
Nibs is currently promoting the release of his DVD, the SAMA nominated, ‘Live at the Vagabond Café’. He is due to release his all acoustic album, ‘Morning Star’ in November 2011.
