NEWTON’S 2ND LAW SIGN WITH SONY MUSIC and release debut single ‘Fact of Life’, an inspired hybrid of Folk, Rock, Soul
Gauteng based Newton’s 2nd Law is a story of five friends brought together by a shared passion for music: one that has developed into their recent signing with Sony Music and the release of their debut single ‘Fact Of Life’. The track was recorded by acclaimed SA producer Neal Snyman and showcases Newton’s 2nd Law’s accomplished & inspired song writing, John Mani’s unmistakable vocal talent and the band’s ability to lock down a strong groove and memorable hook.
Passionate and determined, Newton’s 2nd Law have been pursuing music between their post school studies, but their deal with Sony has allowed more focus to shift onto their developing career as a band. Describing their music as a force for hope and peace, Newton’s 2nd Law aims to offer something new to the South African musical landscape. A hybrid of styles that incorporates rock, folk, soul and dub – the band’s diverse influences apparent in not only the fresh sonic textures that trademark the recordings, but in the motivation behind their songs and lyrics, something particularly evident in ‘Fact Of Life’.
Newton’s 2nd Law’s as yet untitled debut album is due out later in 2012.
