The coffee shop is a bit smaller, but you can still get a mean cup of coffee. But now you can also browse through an extensive range of clothing and accessories from the likes of Critik Shows, Smells Like Psycho clothing, Barking Rude rock n Roll Threads and Keepnix accessories. The store also stocks a growing range of albums and books by independent artists.
Tattoo buff and all round good guy Damian Ponsonby has been appointed store manager and he keeps the diaries running smoothly, serves a mean cup of coffee and is always available to chat and help with tattoo related queries.
“We have been in this shop since late 2010 and we have settled in nicely,” says Busta of the new look and ideas, “Some of our ideas didn’t work out so well, but others people definitely showed they wanted more of. So we kept the great coffee, beefed up the clothing and have made it a warmer, friendlier place to visit.”
The shop is open from Tuesday to Saturday every week and resident tattoo artists Busta, Sean Damian Perrins and Jan Giebelmann are on hand to turn your wildest ink ideas into tattoo realities. The resident artists have been joined by apprentice artists Chelsea and Seona who are working their way to becoming full blown artists.
The Golden Tiki also has a visiting artist booth which features Dave from Missing Ink every second week. Travelling international artist will be making visits in the near future, so watch this space for details.
With its brand new store front branding and wide range of products, the Tiki is the perfect place to have a cup of java and shoot the breeze with like-minded people while trying to decide what new piece of ink to get done. Located conveniently on 4th avenue, there is plenty of parking and easy access.
