“an African-country-folk-swing”
The launch of our first CD features a combination of some of South Africa’s finest musicians and a flavor that is truly South African. Legendary saxophonist McCoy Mrubata joins members from bands such as Radio Kalahari Orkes (RKO) and Casette, with some of the best Jozi/Soweto “jazzcats” to produce an African-country-folk-swing that only us locals could have come up with. The music is all original and mostly composed by LTD cofounder and guitarist Friso Woudstra (RKO/ Casette). It lays a foundation for the rest of the band to perfect melodies and grooves that will have South Africa stomping to the beat. Drummer/producer Bradley Cooper has skillfully perfected the production of a combination of 6 solo instrumentalists together without them overpowering the audience or each other. The band includes McCoy Mrubata (sax), Friso Woudstra (guitar), Pule Makona (piano), Wynand Davel (violin), Tebogo Sedumedi (bass), Bradley Cooper (drums).
