Garry Christian is both ‘the face’ and ‘the voice’ of international super group, THE CHRISTIANS, renowned for their endless string of soul-inspired hits including their most recognized, Ideal World (1987).
2012 sees THE CHRISTIANS celebrating their 25th anniversary in the music industry with a stellar performance scheduled at River Deck Country Estate in Honeydew on the 4th of February.
The name THE CHRISTIANS refers to the brother’s surname (the original line-up). During their rise to fame in the 80’s, the Liverpool based band developed a reputation for being ‘socially aware’ and unsurprisingly comparisons were drawn to THE TEMPATIONS due to the depth and range of the brother’s magical vocal harmonies.
Fast forward a few years / decades and THE CHRISTIANS are still enjoying their everlasting success with the relatively new line up which includes Neil Griffiths, Joey Ankrah, Lionel Duke and Cliff Watson.
The vibe is relaxed…unplugged and acoustic but the voice is still incredible as is the sultry smile behind the Ray Bans.
The group will be supported by South Africa’s very own, Mark Beling Band.
