Goodnight Wembley! has been exciting Cape Town crowds with their larger-than-life shows and is now getting ready to overpower fans in Bloemfontein, Johannesburg and Pretoria on their Maiden Voyage Tour.
George van der Spuy, lead vocalist says that “after the release of ‘Time Machine’, we decided to give the song some time to hit the airwaves and let people familiarize themselves a bit with Goodnight Wembley! After a good month or so, people can now get the chance to see our live show and get to hear some of our other material before we release the second single. We are really excited to bring our particular brand of 70′s retro/grunge rock to the North and we can’t wait to engage with a brand new audience. Let the Maiden Voyage begin!”

Goodnight Wembley! recently entered the Converse ‘Get out of the Garage’ competition. The band made the Top 10 out of over 135 entries.
“Goodnight Wembley! is fortunate enough to have been picked as one of the Top 10 finalists in Converse’s ‘Get out of the Garage competition’. This competition gives members of the South African public the opportunity to vote for their favourite from the Top 10, and give one of these unsigned bands the opportunity to play at the 100 Club in London – all expenses paid. The voting process is facilitated by a quick and painless Facebook app. Goodnight Wembley! would love your support and would love to play at London’s 100 club. We will be in close busking proximity to Wembley Stadium; a pilgrimage the band has hoped to make since its conception”, says George.
