Peter Pote former front man of the band, Evolver One, writes a letter to his fans and the public explaining the reasons for his departure from the band he co-founded and was a part of for nine years. Check it out here.
“Dear friends
Last week I made a life changing decision to resign as the front man of Evolver One, a band that I co-founded and have been a part of for the last 9 years.
I personally felt that Evolver One had run its course. One reaches a stage in their career where change is necessary and a different direction essential for creativity and personal growth. Evolver One was an incredible journey – 3 successful albums, over 500 shows locally and overseas, at least 11 songs play listed nationally and a string of hits. Of course, meeting and forming some great relationships along the way has been priceless.
I am by no means retiring from the music business and am very excited about many prospects and opportunities that have started to present themselves to me. I shall be working very hard with my team to set the ball in motion and look forward to sharing news of my career developments as and when each element unfolds. Not too long from now I hope!
Alexander Graham Bell said: “When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” I have no regrets whatsoever and I am looking forward to stepping through the new door with confidence and determination into a world of abundant and exciting times.
I would personally like to thank each and every person involved in this first part of my musical journey for gladly giving their support freely and willingly. The fans, my friends and family, media, radio, sponsors, managers, PR team, producers and everyone else. To my former band members – Sean, James, Tulsa and the others who were a part of nearly a decade of Evolver and Evolver One – thank you, it was great!
