The David Gresham Record Company best known for releasing global superstars such as Nickelback, Placebo & Staind is proud to announce the signing of Billboard number 1 alternative rock act “Bush”. Bush fronted by vocalist Gavin Rossdale return after a decade long hiatus, with their 5th studio album entitled “The Sea of Memories”. The album will be released in South Africa on the 1st of December 2011 and will be available at leading retail outlets nationwide.
“The Sea of Memories” is the first Bush album to be released on the bands imprint Zuma Rock/David Gresham Records in South Africa. The first single “The Sound of Winter” is only the seventh alternative single in Billboard chart history to go to number 1 off an independent label. Bush have sold a combined total of 10.9 Million albums in the United States and will be touring with Chevelle and Filter for the new album.
Bush have peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Alternative airplay chart for the 5th time in their career with the first single off the new album called “The Sound of Winter”, this single is the band’s latest number one after “The Chemicals between us” hit the summit of the charts 12 years ago. The Sound of Winter knocked “Walk” by the Foo Fighters off the top spot to further establish the band as a major force in today’s alternative rock scene.
